National Quilters Day at the Country Bear in Lucinda
We also would like to thank all of the quilters who gave up their precious time to quilt all of the blocks beginning Quilters Weekend, March 7h through the 10th. A QUILT AUCTION at the SAWMILL
THE QUILT AUCTION on Friday, August 16 at noon, which is held during our Summerfest and Quilt Show weekend, features more than 100 quilts and quilt- ed items from across the country on the “auction block.” These colorful quilts come in all sizes and patterns. You're sure to find the special one you've been looking for, for yourself or to give as a gift. This is the place to buy a quilt for what could be the best price in town. Details:
 - Auction-type sale by Al Cox Family Auction Company
 - Held in the Verna Leith Sawmill Theatre
 - Begins at Noon and runs until the last quilt is sold
 - Buyers charged a 5% premium, which will be contributed
to the Art Center as a fund-raiser
- Free of charge to the general public
Quilters Swap Meet - August 17, 11 am - 1 pm
Quilter's Swap Meet hosted by Linda Pastin of Crescent, PA beginning at 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, August 17th
A quilter's swap meet will be held in the Verna Leith Sawmill Theatre beginning at 11 am, which will include lunch, for a cost of $5 per person. Bring materials, patterns, books and ideas to share and/or swap with other quilting enthusiasts. Registration is necessary to attend so please call 927-6655. Following the swap meet will be a special presentation by Charlene Jorgenson of “Quilts from the Heartland” (see below for full details).
